I am a proud product of the Mobile County Public School System.  I attended Stanton Road Elementary, Sidney Phillips Middle and John Shaw High.  I received my Bachelor and Master degrees in Elementary Education from Spring Hill College in Mobile.  While attending Spring Hill, I was a Ford Foundtion Scholar, on the Dean's List and a charter member of the Pi Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

This year I am beginning my 20th year of teaching in the Mobile County Public School System.  This is my second year to teach 5th grade at Old Shell Road Magnet. I previously taught 2nd and 3rd grades at Maryvale Elementary. For 13 years, I taught 5th grade at Eichold-Mertz Elementary.  I also taught 4th grade for 2 years at John Will Elementary.

I was born in Augusta, Georgia, but most of my childhood was spent in Mobile.  I live in Semmes.  My four children are all grown up.  I enjoy cross-stitching and just plain RELAXING.  When I am relaxing, it's usually watching tv shows from my childhood such as "Good Times" and "Andy Griffin" or crime shows like "Law and Order" or "Matlock".  I truly enjoy teaching math.  I look forward to working with my students and their parents to make the year a hugh success.  One of my favorite quotes is by Helen Keller--"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
